The Day of Nahr (Sacrifice)
It is the first day of Eid and called the Day of sacrifice because the best worship in this day is to scacrifice animal (camel or cow) and shedding of blood. The Prophet ( May the Blessing and Peace of Allah be upon Him) said: "The son of Adam does not do any deed on the Day of Sacrifice more beloved to Allah than shedding blood. It will come on the Day of Resurrection with its horns and cloven hoofs and hair. Its blood is accepted by Allah before it reaches the ground. So be content when you do it.”(1)
Actions are performed by pilgrim on this day respectively are:
*The Jamra of Aqaba
*Shave or shorten
*Al-Nahr (Sacrifice)
*Tawaaf al-Ifada for those who can
